1 Woman In 7: Experiences Postpartum Depression. A Woman With Postpartum Depression May Feel Sluggish, Sad, Confused, Anxious, Irritable, Guilty And Have Difficulty Remembering Things.

She may have trouble eating and sleeping. She may have fears of harming the baby or herself. Her moods might change from being very happy to very sad. She may feel out of control she may want to avoid seeing people talking about feelings. Depression and Anxiety are the #1 complication of pregnancy and postpartum. If left untreated it can become chronic and serious over time affecting mama and baby at many levels. Fortunately, there is always hope, depression and anxiety are treatable, with proper care and support you will begin to feel better.

Postpartum Depression

A woman with PPD might experience feelings of anger, sadness, irritability, guilt, lack of interest in the baby, changes in eating and sleeping habits, trouble concentrating, thoughts of hopelessness and sometimes even thoughts of harming the baby or herself. Postpartum Anxiety

A woman with PPA may experience extreme worries and fears, often over the health and safety of the baby. Postpartum (OCD)

Women with PPOCD can have repetitive, upsetting and unwanted thoughts or mental images (obsessions), and sometimes they need to do certain things over and over (compulsions) to reduce the anxiety caused by those thoughts. Postpartum Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
