How Does Counseling Work?

Counseling is a collaborative effort between the counselor and client. Professional counselors help clients identify goals and potential solutions to problems which cause emotional distress; seek to improve communication and coping skills; strengthen self-esteem; spiritual growth, and promote behavior change and optimal mental health.

Do You Offer A Free Consultation?

Yes, I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to discuss our services, identify your needs, answer any questions you may have about counseling.

Do you accept insurance?

We currently ONLY accept IEHP Insurance to provide quality care for women of variant income. IEHP slots are limited and fill up quickly.

If your insurance carrier is a PPO that offers “out-of-network” coverage, you can contact your insurance provider to discuss benefits. I can provide a super bill for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

What Should I Ask My Insurance Provider In Order To Get Services?

Q:  Do I have mental health benefits?
Q:  What is my deductible and has it been met?
Q:  How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?
Q:  What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
Q:  Is approval required from my primary care physician?

FAQs for Therapeutic Groups:

I want to sign up for a therapeutic Group. How do I get started?

The first step is contacting our office for a free consultation for the group. We want to make sure each mama is an appropriate fit for this group. Members must RSVP for group as space is limited to 8 mothers per group session. Our facilitator(s) will provide you with additional information about our groups including Informed Consent, Confidentiality Practices, and Limits of Confidentiality.

Will there be childcare?

At this time we will not be offering childcare services. However, babies in arm (under 12 months) are welcomed to join you in group.

Do you offer a payment plan for groups?

We understand that finances can be a challenge as your family grows. Our hope is to encourage mothers to get the help they need by offering affordable services. Attending group is a great alternative to the cost of traditional individual therapy. The group session fee ranges from$35-$50 per group session. Please contact us with further questions about group fees.
